Monday, October 26, 2009…Fort Monroe FADA has retained Interpretive Solutions, Inc. to develop an Interpretive Master Plan (IMP) and create a business plan to ensure visitor and educational services will tell the stories the public most wants to experience at the historic site.

The aim of the nine month process is to complete an Interpretive Master Plan (IMP) that charts the public's interest in the many stories associated with the National Historic Landmark District. The process begins with a Town Hall meeting to gather ideas from the community. Many of the suggested themes will be outlined on large charts and the participating public will have a chance to vote on their most desired themes.

Bill Armbruster adds, “We will soon begin to plan how Fort Monroe's incredible stories will be told. We hope the public will join us to help highlight the most important themes, and the best ways to communicate them to visitors. Public input will be invaluable as planning begins."
