Military arrivals, departures and events in Hampton RoadsThe Virginian-Pilot © July 18, 2011 Retired Lt. Col. Eric Endries has joined the Virginia Wounded Warrior Program as regional director for greater Hampton Roads. He formerly served as the Army's chief of officer education systems with Training and Doctrine Command, Fort Monroe. Maj. Gen. Keith C. Walker has been nominated for appointment to the rank of lieutenant general and for assignment as deputy commanding general, futures, and director of the Army Capabilities Integration Center at Fort Monroe. Walker has been commanding general of the Brigade Modernization Command at Fort Bliss, Texas. Col. Bradford J. Shwedo, who has been selected for the rank of brigadier general, will become director of intelligence at Air Combat Command at Langley Air Force Base. He has served as director for cyber planning and operations and deputy assistant secretary of defense for cyber policy at the Pentagon. Capt. Paul Gronemeyer has assumed command of Strike Fighter Wing Atlantic from Capt. Craig Yager. Gronemeyer had been deputy director of programs in the Office of Legislative Affairs in Washington. Yager's next assignment is in Washington as executive assistant to the director of warfare integration. Maj. Patrick Stefanek has retired from the U.S. Marine Corps. He had served with Expeditionary Warfare Training Group Atlantic in Virginia Beach since July 2009. He enlisted in the Marine Corps Reserve in 1987 and was commissioned a second lieutenant in May 1991.
