A visitor's guide to Monroe

The authority planning a future for Fort Monroe after the Army leaves in less than two years wants ideas about how the history of the 570-acre base should be interpreted for visitors. The Federal Area Development Authority hired Interpretive Solutions Inc. to develop an "interpretive master plan." Part of the plan is getting public opinion: What should the visitor experience include? A public meeting is scheduled for 4-7 p.m. Thursday at the Crown Plaza Marina Hotel, Ballroom B, 700 Settlers Landing Road.
