Old Point Comfort Nautical Location

• From Thimble Shoal tower on the Lower Bay it is about three nautical miles to the tip of Old Point Comfort
• A series of shipping channel markers will direct you southwest (and deep water)
• You will see the Chamberlin Hotel as you approach the point. Follow point to south end (look for warning signs near the rotting pilings of the old steamer docks)
• At point's SW corner, turn North, leaving to port flashing green #1 and the entrance for the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel
• OPCM is opposite flashing green #3
• Enter at the North end of the wave screen
• Water depth at mean low water: 15'
