PROPERTY LEASING MOVING ALONG AT A FAST PACE
There are nearly 175 residences within the property, which the Fort Monroe Authority has the responsibility for managing, marketing and renting to the public. More than 100 of these properties have been leased. “Our staff has done a great job of making people aware that Fort Monroe is a wonderful place in which to live,” Glenn Oder said.
Available residences include single-family homes, duplexes and townhouses. Rents start at around $1,400 a month, with home sizes ranging from 1,200 to 8,000 square feet.
The Authority has also worked diligently to market buildings and spaces that may be used for business or commercial opportunities. The most recent commercial leases include spaces for the Virginia State Police and the Freedom
